Our Story

Salvaged and Seamed's business logo - abstract flower circle with needle and thread interwoven with business name

At Salvaged and Seamed, we breathe new life into pre-loved fabrics, transforming them into handmade, one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories that tell their own unique stories. Based in the beautiful City of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada we're on a mission to combat textile waste and inspire a more sustainable approach to fashion, one stitch at a time.

Hi!

I’m Claudia, the sewist (that's sewing + artist!) and environmental advocate behind Salvaged and Seamed.

My story blends a lifelong passion for sewing - which started with a fall fair win in kindergarten! - with a deep commitment to the planet (Trent University & Fleming College alum here!).

Founded in 2024, Salvaged and Seamed is my way of giving preloved textiles a second life. I lovingly transform forgotten fabrics into beautiful, functional, and sustainable treasures. Every piece is a conscious choice for mindful consumption.

Thank you for joining me on this creative, sustainable journey! Find more inspiration
